changing seasons.

It wasn't until this pregnancy that I realized how much of a year a pregnancy actually is. 40 whole weeks. Tack on one more trimester and that's an entire year of growing a baby! Wow. I'm glad it doesn't have to be that way haha. Anyhow... I've really enjoyed watching things change (and grow) throughout this pregnancy. In the last 8 months Peter has turned into a rambunctious talking machine, Todd has finished the first year of his MBA program, and I've nearly doubled my per capita. At least I'm starting to feel that way.

I've also enjoyed watching the seasons change as we've documented our growing Mr. #2. From a beautiful mountainous fall to a brief winter (a glorious break from the last two Wisconsin winters) to a blossom filled spring. And now the trees are budding and filling up with green leaves once more.

Only a few more weeks and we'll be in another whole season of life. Raising two children. It's going to be wonderful and nuts all at the same time.

And we are so excited. (:

p-town in the summer time

Only 6 more days of school! Our summer time is just around the corner and I can't wait! We'll obviously be busy with our new little man but there are still so many fun adventures we'd love to go on. And so in no particular order (and with the understanding that some of these things probably won't happen) here is our list of summer time to-do's...
  1. hike squaw peak
  2. Balloon Fest (July 3-5)
  3. attend a fair in August
  4. attend the Manti pageant
  5. cheer on the Utah Valley Marathon runners... and meet Mel. oh. my. heck. I know!
  6. demolition derby?
  7. farmers market!
  8. Movies in the Park (Monday nights in August)
  9. Rooftop Concerts (first Friday May-October)
  10. swimming & splash padding
  11. Midway's Swiss Days
  12. Spanish Fork Fiesta Days
  13. Springville Art City Days car show (June 13th)
  14. Payson Salmon Supper (August)
  15. rodeo
  16. food truck round up

What'd we miss??

We're pretty excited to be spending the summer in Provo without school in our faces. Yeah Todd will be working a bunch and we'll have baby brother keeping us busy... but with our evenings free of homework we're going to be having loads of fun. (:

a 2015 easter.

Whilst going through old drafts of posts I found this one weeping in the corner because I had finished it and it was all ready to go live. Until I forgot it was there and neglected the poor thing. Sorry man, my bad.

Easter is a great holiday, truly. It's a little more, if not equally as important as Christmas but without all of the gift hype. This year we had a very lovely Easter celebrating the life of our Savior as well as enjoying dying eggies and eating all of the beans.

Peter is still learning to be gentle with the eggies.

We started our Easter morning festivities bright and early on Sunday. Peter was up at 6am. Not because he knew there were treats and stuff hiding throughout our apartment but because that's just when he get's up. 6am. It's awesome. Except when it's not haha.

Growing up my family's Easter bunny hid our baskets as well as jelly beans throughout the house. We weren't allowed to collect any beans until we had found our baskets. I didn't hide Peter's basket this year, due to a lack of places to hid it, but Todd and I did hide jelly beans. Peter still hasn't found them all. (:

The Easter bunny also brought Peter a tee-ball set! Peter could hardly wait for the sun to come up to go try it out.

He did a pretty good job too!

Yeah he found it pretty humorous to just smack the whole thing...

... and then run away...

... but after a while he figured it out and got some pretty good hits! (the ball he hit is in the air by the sign, not the one on the ground haha)

Those two... such happy guys. I love 'em.
