Can you tell that I am rushing to finish up all of these posts before the clock strikes twelve?? Because I am. I apologize for the lack of quality spelling, writing, tact... ya know, all that stuff. Since I have about a billion photos from our Christmas vacation I'm just going to narrow those down, throw on some sufficient captions and call it good. (: p.s. I should mention that I'm doing this with wet finger nails... smart, super smart, I know.
Our vacation started with a visit to Logan to see Peter's great grandma Preece. We got to visit and go see Juanito Bandito's Christmas. If you have yet to discover Juanito Bandito for yourself, now is the time. Think old western bad guy thrown in a blender with Nacho Libre.
After our Logan trip we spent a week in Pocatello playing, visiting friends, relaxing, eating yummy food, making yummy food (including the Barfuss donut day) and going down to Provo/SLC to pick up daddy and watch Moo singing on Temple square.
Grandma had lots of decorations for Peter to get into... one of his favorites was this little sled full of plastic ornaments.
Peter also loved the donuts. We had to tie him down and feed him a bunch of healthy food so he would stop snatching the donuts off the table and shoving them in his mouth. Pretty hilarious.
Helping momma cut out donuts.
Our little Utah excursion was great! We got to see some old friends, eat at some of our favorite places, and really just walking around campus not worrying about finals was awesome.
We hit up Temple Square on the way home to see the lights and watch Emily sing.
Peter was squirmy the entire time... luckily we still got some "decent" pictures. (:
We can't go to Temple Square and not take a picture where Todd proposed to me!
And there she is singing... well, done singing... top left corner.
Aaaaand we're back in Pocatello!
Peter played and played and played!
Present time! Spoiled child...
He also ate and ate and ate... the seat belt on his booster seat didn't fit once we got home!
Someone has a knack for being a helper on the guitar...
Hmmm what are these?? You mean you use these so can sleep past 7am?? Am I loud or something?
Do I look like this when I talk on the phone?? I mean he had to get it from someone, right?
Saying our goodbyes...
Next stop: Jerome, ID
Our Jerome visit was full of sing alongs, playing in the yard, chasing the cats, taking naps, eating even more yummy food, playing Ticket to Ride, and of course Christmas Day.
...and surprisingly we didn't play a singing game of bananagrams.
Again with the guitar playing assistance...
Peter has been pretty sad that he doesn't get to play outside anymore. That's what happens when you go from 40 degree weather in Jerome to -1 in Wisconsin. Sorry little guy, we'll get out there eventually!
At the famous Burnt Lemon Grill... if you live anywhere near Jerome you should check it out, it's pretty yummy. And get the lemonade, of course, it's crazy refreshing.
Niagara Springs
Our last adventure was the plane ride home. While I was using the restroom Peter decided to dive out of Todd's arms and land his face right on a sharp edge. By the time I returned to my seat he was done crying but the left side of his face was nice and swollen. He seems to be doing just fine now... just a little purple and green. But... you should see the plane. Hooo boy!
There you have it! The adventures of our 2013 Christmas vacation! We loved loved LOVED spending so much time with our families and we're excited to see them again eventually. We hope your holidays were just as awesome if not ten times awesomer.
Bring on the New Year!
