Easters.

Happy Easter to you! I'll admit... Easter kind of snuck up on us this year. Especially since it was like an entire month early... and I still have my St. Patrick's Day decorations up...

... but yeah it just like showed up! So we celebrated!

The party got started when grandma Barfuss came to town on Wednesday for a few days.

We dyed Easter eggs and Peter kept pulling them out early and asking us, "You like that color? Okay!" and he'd plop them in the carton.

On Thursday grandma took us up to Heber to ride the Heber Creeper! They had a little petting zoo and the Easter Bunnies (yes, there were three) were on the train to pass out eggs! Peter wasn't thrilled about the bunnies so I straight up told him that they were not giant child-eating bunnies but just people in bunny costumes. He totally perked up and was like, "Oh! Daddy wears one?" haha.

On Saturday morning we had the MBASA Easter party! The Easter bunny came to that too! He's a busy guy.

His favorite color has been orange for about a year now so of course he loved the orange egg.

Calvin did not participate in the madness although he loves putting toys away in the bins at night so I think he would have enjoyed it had the hunt been in slow motion.

And finally, Easter Sunday arrived! The Easter bunny stopped by with a few goodies and Peter loved it. We told him that we "pretend" that the Easter bunny comes and hides eggs and candy around the house. Buuuuut he kept asking us how the bunny got up so high and how the bunny hid stuff in his room so we're pretty sure he didn't catch on to us basically telling him that the Easter bunny isn't real. Haha maybe next year.

So last year we hid a white jelly bean on top of the thermostat. Usually within a few days Peter can find all of the hidden candy but this jelly bean stayed hidden for an entire year! Calvin found it once but it wasn't until this morning that Peter found it. We threw it away haha.

Poor dusty jelly bean.

Peter woke up to a trail of jelly beans leading to the Easter basket!

Inside the basket were some baby snacks and toys for Calvin (thank you dollar holiday bins at Wal-Mart), daddy's favorite Cadbury cream eggs, some illustrated New Testament stories and Jesus story picture cards for Peter, AND... a card from Ryder (Paw Patrol if you don't have a 3.5 year-old son haha).

The card sent Peter on a little hunt to find some little mini Paw Patrol figures. Which he loved. Dollar store win! Wow... we're so cheap haha... we can get away with it right? Until the kids start caring or until we're out of school or something??

Once we found lots of treats and ate just a few ;) I hit the kitchen and started preparing our Easter dinner which included a lemony blueberry cake. Yummmm.

Before church I also tortured took a few pictures of the boys and it's almost like Calvin knows we're trying to take a holiday picture... because he screamed in the Christmas one too. Little stinker.

They're so handsome though...

Happy Easter from us to you. We hope you've seen the Savior bless your life. We know He has worked miracles in ours and we know that He loves us and wants us to be happy... and together... forever. ♥
